For members competition in PCAWA events the official club uniform must be worn. A uniform order list can be found here.

For the cross country phase of an event the DHPC long sleeve rally shirt or rugby jumper may be worn. A body protector MUST also be worn during this phase.
To help the club fundraise to buy equipment for the club, pay for instructors and purchase incidentals, a number of events are held throughout the year.

The club cannot function without the support of parents/ helpers. Every family is expected to help.
As our club is run solely by volunteers. Each family must participate in a minimum of 12 hours per year, of help at Busy Bees, Events & Fundraisers (Outside of Rallies – Everyone is expected to help at each rally), this will be spread over 4 events. To enable flexibility for the families, a list of events, busy bees and fundraisers will be sent out after the enrolment day where you will be able to nominate the events you can commit to over the year.

Communication will be sent out prior to a club events to members with a list of jobs that will be required on the day of the event.
Pony Club of Western Australia (PCAWA) run a series of state championships each year in which our members can compete in and represent Dardanup Horse and Pony Club.
The State events consist of the following:
To compete in these state events members must have completed three qualifying rallies in the twelve months before the event as well as meet the below qualifying criteria
State Tetrathlon
Horse/rider combination must have completed at least one Pony Club or EA competition in any of Tetrathlon, Showjumping, Cross-Country, Hunter Trials or Hickstead/ Derby at the height or higher than the Tetrathlon class in which they enter.
State Show Jumping
Horse/rider combination mush have completed 2 rounds at the highest height they wish to compete (Heights start at 60cm)
State Dressage
Horse/rider combination must have a qualifying score of 57% or more. Qualifyng is from close of entries of State Dressage 2019 to close of entries for State Dressage 2020. Riders can compete on two horses, but only once in each class. NO qualifying dressage score required for musical ride.
State Eventing
A horse rider combination is deemed to have qualified if they have achieved a qualifying score at least two or more events at the level in the 12 months preceding the close of entries.
Clubs must ensure that the horse & rider combination are competent for the level at which they have been nominated.
